Fred Blondin is a singer, composer and musician from France. Fred has released over eight albums since 1990, and was nominated twice for Grammy awards in the “Best Male Newcomer Of The Year” category in 1990 and 1996.  In 1996, Fred released his third album titled “J’voudrais Voir Les Îles” (I Would Like To See The Islands), and the first single released from this album, titled “C’est Pas Ça La Vie” (It’s Not That Life), was written by David Christie and Jack Robinson.

In 1981 David Christie released his follow-up single to “Priorities”, from the album “Flashback” (also known as “Priorities”), titled “Back With My Baby” under the name of James Bolden. “Back With My Baby” was covered by David’s pop group Frantique, but re-titled as “Steady With Teddy” with slightly different lyrics – you can hear the song HERE.

Frantique, and David Christie – Strut Your Funky Stuff (1979)

Let’s start the New Year off with Frantique’s “Strut Your Funky Stuff” !

This great dance track was co-written and produced by David Christie and Jack Robinson (taken from the band’s self- titled album) and it reached #10 in the UK charts in 1979. Nearly 20 years later a dance band Phunky Phantom hit #1 in the US dance charts with their cover version of “Strut Your Funky Stuff” in 1997 and was also a hit in the UK charts at #27 in 1998.
