Happy New Year Everyone! 2016!

Happy New Year Everyone!

2015 round-up of the year!

What a year 2015 has been. A lot of things have happened over the last 12 months, and to begin with, sadly, we have lost some great artists – legends of music, Demis Roussous , James Last and Roy Robinson – they will be greatly missed.

During the year, two David Christie compilations albums were released: The Essentials, and Saddle Up-The Best Of David Christie, both of which contained new unreleased material. Then three more unreleased tracks were released between two various artist compilation albums: “Disco Dance” and “Disco Music” – check them out HERE !

David Christie’s smash hit “Saddle Up” was remixed by DJ’s and bands including DJ Roel Regelink and Traumton, and back in March “Saddle Up” also featured in a French comedy film titled “Bis” – the soundtrack is included on the limited edition vinyl release.

In February, author James Arena released a book entitled “Stars of 80’s Dance Pop – The European Edition” and featured an interview with David’s long time friend and song writing partner Jack Robinson – highly recommend reading for Christie fans as well as 80’s pop fans too!

In the latter half of the year, David’s friend Nicole Valérie released some lovely music videos (on Youtube and Dailymotion) from her 1994 album “Quand Nous Vivions Ensemble” (When We Lived Together), which was co-written and produced by David.

To end the year, Big Break Records released Frantique’s self-titled debut album on CD, which has been extended to include four extra tracks, and it’s well worth getting for your collection as the album has been remastered with great sound quality!

Well, what’s there to look out for in 2016?

For 2016, watch out for Jack Robinson’s new theatrical musical play and book entitled “Walking The Dogs”, which includes the hit single  “I Love To Love”.  Fingers crossed the play will finally come out later in the year. For a synopsis of the play, visit Jack’s website at: http://www.robinsongmusic.com/
Also, I hope to see more David Christie releases including more unreleased material – fingers crossed for that too! 🙂
Thank-you
